SOPHAGEAL REFLUX –AN UNWANTED VISITOR

Once the act of mastication is justified by the oral cavity, then there is the passage of the chewed substances into the next conveyer (the alimentary canal) which performs the next important process Digestion.

In a normal digestion, the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES) paves way in order to allow the ingested food substances to gain entry into the stomach and also closes so as to prevent the uptake or backflow of food substances and gastric acid juices back into the oesophagus.

I'm excited to be here again. One, 'cos this is the first post on Ukhtee's Kitchen for the new session and two, 'cos it's an amazingly novel meal recipe I've brought to the tables this time. So, why not grab your soup ladles and join me in the food laboratory?

NIMechE UI Hold Their First Conference

On Monday, 6th November, 2017, the Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers, University of Ibadan Branch (NIMechEUI), held, at the Trenchard Hall, their first conference which had, in special attendance, the 1987 set.

The University of Ibadan Vice Chancellor, Prof. A.I. Olayinka, while giving his remarks after the Jumhat service on Friday held at the University Central Mosque, declared that, “All religions profess peace; it just depends on the doctrine or approach to it”

The University of Ibadan Vice Chancellor has appraised the efforts of Muslims on campus in upholding peace and stability in the University environ. He therefore has urged Muslims to continue to gallop on this stride.

The programme started officially after the two rakat jummah prayer lead by the chief IMAM, Prof Abdurrahman Oloyede. In attendance were dignitaries of high personalities both from the school management and the Ibadan Muslim Community.
