Dean of Faculty Arts to Students: ASUU Strike is for Your Benefit'

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan, Professor Oyeshile said that the ongoing ASUU strike is majorly for the benefit of Nigerian students and not only for the lecturers.

The Dean said this at the First Day of Orientation Week organised by the Association of Faculty of Arts Students (AFAS) on Thursday, 10th March, 2022 at the Large Lecture Theatre LLT of the Faculty.

The newly-matriculated Muslim students of University of Ibadan visited the wife of the Oyo State Deputy Governor who doubles as a Lecturer at the institution, Professor Hamdalat Bola Olaniyan, on Sunday, 27th of February 2022 at her residence at Jericho in Ibadan.

At the Freshers' Orientation Formal Opening ceremony held at the Islamic Centre, University of Ibadan, Mr. Tunde Onakoya encouraged students to seek beyond certifications during their stay on campus.

The Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria,  University of Ibadan branch organised a programme for the newly-matriculated Muslim Students of the University today, 25th of February, 2021 at the University Central Mosque to mark the second day of this year's Orientation Week Programme.

As University of Ibadan dwells in the state of resumption, MSSN-UI is working tirelessly to put programmes in place for freshmen. The society, through the orientation week committee, has designed different activities to welcome and help the new students on their spiritual and academic upliftments. 


The Sultan Bello Hall Warden of the University of Ibadan, Dr. Oyediran Oyebowa, has commended the efforts of the Chief Imam of the University, Professor AbdulRahman Oloyede, for his supports for the Hall, so far.

The Hall Warden gave the commendation at the Flag-Off event to mark the 60th anniversary of the Hall at the Sultan Bello Dome of the Hall of Residence yesterday, Wednesday 2nd of February 2022.
