The summit which was held at the John Paul II centre, University of Ibadan on the 25th October, 2017 on the topic: Opportunity for Youth Development and Growth in a Shrinking Economic Space.
The summit had in attendance academicians like Professor Funsho Adeshola from OAU, Dr. Oluwole Ayebusi from ABUAD, Nolywood actors like Funsho Adeolu, Daramola Olatunji, Abiola Alawode and the anchor of 'Aajirebi' on Africa magic Dele Fagboro politicians and Oyo state civil servants like Yomi Oke and Toyin Arulogun, the former being the commissioner for youth and sports and the latter being the commissioner for education, the permanent secretary to the Ministry of youth and sports Alhaja Agboola, special adviser to the Oyo state Governor on Youth and sports. Other attendees are corp members, students of the University of Ibadan and other tertiary institutions.
The opening prayer of the summit was given in three modes (Islamic, Christianity and traditional modes) which is to emphasize the religion sensitivity of the two collaborating bodies.
The lecture was divided into three parts which are Opportunity for Youth in media delivered by Funsho Adeolu and Dele Fagboro, Opportunity for Youth in academics delivered by Professor Funsho Adeshola and opportunity for Youth in politics delivered by the two commissioners on behalf of the Governor of Oyo state Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
Also, at the summit was the developer of Nigeria's first social network (2geda.net), Chukwu Emeka Smith, who while sharing his story said he had to drop out of school to pursue his dream even though it was not easy but with consistency, relentless effort and commitment, his dream came to pass.
