AL-ANSAR FOUNDATION

Al-Ansar foundation is a charity organization arm of the society and over a decade old. It functions in assisting indigent Muslim brothers and sisters studying in the University of Ibadan in meeting their financial needs. Such needs include tuition fees, registration fees, accommodation, feeding assistance, medical bills etc. students who need assistance write directly or through hall imams, faculty co-coordinators or members of MSSN Executive council.

HOSPITAL VISITATION COMMITTEE

The committee visits hospitals, mainly the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, where Islamic materials, toiletries, beverages and other daily needs of the sick patients are distributed. The committee also assists in the payment of the medical bills of those who are in need of it. However, the committee is financially handicapped in carryout this responsibility.

PRISON YARD VISITATION COMMITTEE

This committee visits to prisons where food stuffs, Islamic materials and other materials are donated to inmates as well as assisting in bathing processes. The prisoners are also admonished, being our humble contribution towards achieving the rehabilitation goal of the prison. The prison usually visited is Agodi Prison yard, Ibadan. At PYVC, visitations are being carried out to salvage their predicament, secure bail and do da’wah.

RAMADAN PLANNING COMMITTEE

The committee ensures that all Muslim Students are able to fast with ease by providing iftar and Sahur during Ramadan. Tafseer session are also held in the evenings too.

 DA’WAH ENLIGHTENMENT

It is a forum for the discussion of contemporary and academic issues. It holds on every Tuesday night.

This is the forum for discussion of Islamic issues. It holds on every Thursday night.

CIRCLE OF LEARNING

It is a class where students learn, Arabic language, Islamic jurisprudence and History. It takes place every weekend. And the attendance is quite impressive.

RURAL DA’WAH

It takes place towards the end of the second semester. During the programme students go to neighbouring communities to preach the message of Islam and at the same time organise some basic medical services for the host community. It last for three days.

ORIENTATION WEEK COMMITTEE

This committee takes care of all activities pertaining to incoming students right from the post-UTME phase through the admission processes, registration and at the end organised a ten-day long programme to enlighten them so as to ensure a successful stay on campus for the fresh students.

JIHAD WEEK

This committee seeks to bring together Muslims students’ from within and outside the campus through enlightening and educative event. This increases the Islamic awareness, strengthens faith and foster brotherhood in Islam.

An ultra-modern educational facility for literacy and academic fortress for students, internet enabled and access to online library.

 AWARD OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

We reward students who perform well in their academic pursuit. At the last edition, we awarded a total of seventy-five students on the first class cadre.

The library is equipped with academic and Islamic books as well as handful undergraduate and postgraduate students’ project for consultation.
